UNDIP, Semarang (27/02) – In an effort to enhance the quality of publications and strengthen digital branding, the Directorate of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) held a Photography Training on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the meeting room on the 4th floor of the UPT Library and UNDIP Press Building. The training aimed to strengthen human resource competencies in creating attractive and high-quality visual content to support UNDIP’s image across various digital platforms.

The training was attended by 20 participants who are staff members of UNDIP’s Directorate of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication. Featuring Budi Purwanto (TEMPO Semarang Photographer) as the speaker, participants received comprehensive learning ranging from basic photography techniques and camera feature introductions to photo editing techniques to optimize results for publication and university promotion purposes.

The Director of the Directorate of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication of UNDIP, Dr. Nurul Hasfi, representing the Vice Rector IV, Wijayanto, Ph.D., delivered the opening remarks and officially opened the event, stating that the training is essential to improving the quality of UNDIP’s social media content and publications.

“Photography skills are competencies that must be mastered in today’s digital era. With strong photography techniques, we can present engaging visuals to strengthen UNDIP’s branding and reputation at both national and international levels,” she said.

The one-day training featured interactive discussions. Participants not only received theoretical knowledge but also conducted hands-on practice in photo shooting and photo editing.

This training is expected to provide long-term benefits for the management of the university’s publication media. With improved photography skills, UNDIP’s publications will become more professional and competitive in today’s increasingly competitive digital era.
