In the digital era, full of challenges and opportunities, digital public communication has become a strategic key in building institutional reputation and public trust. Digital technology has opened up borderless communication spaces, enabling information to spread rapidly on a global scale. However, it also presents risks such as hoaxes, opinion polarization, and crises of trust that can threaten organizations.

To respond to these challenges, the Directorate of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication was established. Within its mandate, the Directorate goes beyond carrying out conventional public relations functions; it plays a broader role in building media and community networks, as well as delivering public services and public communication. The Directorate is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs and activities in the fields of media networking, community engagement, and public communication.

There are two sub-units that carry out the Directorate’s functions: the Media and Community Networking Subdivision, and the Public Communication and Integrated Services Subdivision. Supported by creative, proactive, agile, responsive, and professional human resources, the Directorate of Media Networking, Community, and Public Communication is confident in its ability to meet these challenges.

Ultimately, the Directorate of Media Networks, Community, and Public Communication of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) is present to address the challenges of public communication in the digital era. Its duties and functions are fully implemented to support UNDIP’s tagline “Noble and Valuable UNDIP”, toward the vision of becoming a World-Class University (WCU). By building strong media and community networks and providing innovative public communication services, UNDIP is able to deliver tangible benefits to local, national, and global communities.
